War Paint

It was a magical day. Not because a portfolio session was underway, nor because Jordan looked so beautiful. It was magical because there was so much love. This day was designed for Jordan to feel beautiful. It was meant to reconnect her with her amazing strength. And it was intended to remind her that she was not alone. It achieved all three objectives. Honestly, this is not my best photographic work.

Sneak Peek

The photo session was fabulous! I am still a little shell-shocked by the generosity of the people who made it happen. A special shout-out to Jennifer Pinto at Exclusive Artists Management, makeup artist Coleen Campbell, stylist Jeffrey Paul, and studio manager Johnny Franzen. These folks are true professionals with giant hearts and inspiring talents. I’m not ready to post a set of photos yet because I’m being a neurotic perfectionist. But, here’s one work-in-progress that we’re taking a liking to.

In her head

Tomorrow, we hit the studio and do a really fun photo shoot. In preparation for that production, which we’ve labeled ‘War Paint’, a friend suggested that Jordan write out what she’d like to say to her cancer. She dictated to her mother this afternoon. Holy cow! Our friends have really stepped up to help on the project I mentioned last week. So many volunteers and such opportunities to make the day awesome for Jordan. Thank you to everyone. My good friend Sallie Green suggested that I post our project creative briefto the blog so that she could forward the material on to some others who might want to participate.
